PwC’s June 2016 report, #SocialMediaStudies: Asset Management in the Social Era, reviewed the growth of social media globally and in terms of asset management brands.
They uncovered research in which 62% of millennials said that if a brand engages with them on social media they are more likely to become loyal customers. So, it is unsurprising that more and more brands are taking to social platforms. Asset managers are interacting daily with an expanding number of millennial clients and colleagues. The number of daily active users across multiple social platforms is also reaching new highs. So, it is a relief that 89% of asset management brands are active on social platforms (compared to only 60% in 2013).
