Mash Patel - Chief Executive Officer

Mash co-founded Kurtosys in 2002. Prior to forming Kurtosys, Mash worked for Merrill Lynch as a Structured Derivatives Marketer, Société Générale where he was responsible for the delivery of the trading and settlement system for equity markets across the entire Asian region and Coopers & Lybrand as a Management Consultant responsible for solving strategic technology issues for global clients within the financial services sector.

Mash has worked with financial institutions in over 27 countries and has been responsible for delivering strategic solutions to asset managers, hedge funds and asset servicing firms. He is passionate about driving value and enhancing business performance for Kurtosys’ clients.

Mash holds a Masters in Finance degree from the London Business School, where he completed his thesis in option pricing models. He also holds an Advanced Technical degree from Warwick University.

Harry Thompson - Chief Technology Officer

Harry co-founded Kurtosys Systems in 2002. He has twenty five years of experience working with computer systems as a customer, consultant and vendor and this has spanned manufacturing, media and financial services industries. Previous employers and clients include: Andersen Consulting, Nissan, Marubeni, Smith Barney. He has also worked with a number of Internet start-up companies during the late '90s, helping them with the development of applications and advising on the use of emerging technologies.

Harry is considered one of the top experts in his field, in particular for his use of Virtualization and Service Orientated Architecture to improve system performance and reduce operational costs. He is also a pioneer in the development of the Application Service Provider model as a standard approach to software utilization.

Harry holds a degree in Biochemistry from Salford University.

Mike Loo - Chief Financial Officer

Mike has more than 25 years of experience building financial teams to support large-scale, global enterprises. He has significant expertise in IPO and post-IPO activities, private equity fundraising, acquisitions, and international business management.

As chief financial officer of Certus, a Sarbanes Oxley solutions provider, he created the operational infrastructure to support a tremendous growth rate in this emerging industry. He was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Applicast, an application service provider of enterprise software, Mike was responsible for creating infrastructure, raising working capital and co-coordinating the successful acquisition of the company by Agilera Inc. He was the principal accounting officer for Vantive Corporation, a NASDAQ listed company acquired by Peoplesoft, where he coordinated the company’s IPO, the planning and execution of three acquisitions, and the establishment of eight foreign subsidiaries.

Mike ran his own executive consulting company specializing in advice and counsel on enterprise management with clients such as Object Video, Circuit Semantics, Inc., AmmoCore Technologies, Edge Dynamics, and Portal Wave Inc. He also worked for other notable Silicon Valley companies such as Sybase, Oracle, and ROLM/IBM. He is also a certified public accountant.

Nancy Schneier - Managing Director, North American Business Development

Nancy brings more than 25 years of financial services experience. Most recently, she was a senior business development executive with Accenture, where she opened new channels and created opportunity in the financial services sector. While there, she originated large opportunities in the areas of data management, risk management, and alternative investments.

Nancy was a senior executive at Mandarin Capital, where she led North American business development efforts, secured funding for the early stage start-up, and managed high revenue producing strategic partnerships. She co-founded Ferous, the financial services industry’s only business acceleration firm. At Ferous, she led business development and marketing engagements for a roster of more than 30 niche financial services technology providers. Nancy was director of business development for publicly traded TenFold Corporation, where she managed some of that vendor’s largest accounts. Nancy has also held senior positions at Cambridge Technology Partners; ADP; Waters Information Services; and Drexel, Burnham, Lambert.

Nancy holds a degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She served on the board of the Women’s Bond Club in New York and was recently invited to ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange.

Graham Turner - Managing Director, European Business Development

Graham joined Kurtosys in 2006. Graham is responsible for developing market share across Europe. Before joining Kurtosys Graham was a director of Kaizen Associates, a London based head hunting firm focused on CIO and COO placements within capital markets. While at Kaizen Graham was responsible for defining and delivering on the business development strategy for the organization across the United Kingdom and the Middle East. Graham closed deals with Keane, Lehman, Nomura, Merrill Lynch and Molten.

Graham holds an Honours degree in Accountancy from Liverpool University.

Caroline Trewhitt - Programme Management Director

Caroline joined Kurtosys in 2007. Caroline has overall responsibility for the global programme office. Prior to Kurtosys Caroline was the Business Programme Director for the Reed Business Information organization. In this role Caroline was accountable for the set up and operation of the programme office to manage a global initiative to replace legacy systems for over 400 publications. This initiative involved not only system implementation across multiple countries, but also extensive change management for the introduction of a new process and system to over 2000 staff members.

Caroline holds a degree in English from the University of Birmingham, and an MBA with distinction from Durham University.

Meredith Bowen - Director of Implementation Services

Meredith has spent her career working in the global financial services marketplace. Most recently, Meredith led an important initiative at Banc of America Securities in the area of delivering business requirements for a complete back-office platform. Previously, she was at Accenture, leading capital markets business and systems integration engagements, including the one that led to her move to Banc of America Securities.

Meredith spent several years at Sungard’s Investran division, a private equity fund management and accounting solution. While at Sungard, she led many large-scale, global implementations of that system.

Meredith holds a degree from Brown University.

Paul Whiteside - Director of Software and Product Development

Paul joined Kurtosys in 2006, and is responsible for managing core product enhancements and global roll-outs. Prior to joining Kurtosys Paul was a senior consultant and architect at Volantis, a world leading mobile internet content adaptation company. In this role, Paul was responsible for managing the team designing and constructing solutions for fortune 500 customers.

Paul holds a degree in Computing and Information Systems from the University of Ulster.

Henry Hwang - Director of Network and Operations

Henry joined Kurtosys in 2006, and is responsible for managing both internal and external production platforms. Before joining Kurtosys Henry was the Director of Infrastructure Services EMEA for the Turner Broadcasting System Europe. While at Turner, Henry was responsible for managing a diverse range of infrastructure services and supporting 19 offices in 15 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Henry holds a degree in Ancient Near Eastern Archaeology and Art History from the University of California.
